There's a good 21.6-mile-from-beginning-to-end category I-III whitewater part on Pack River close by, the West Branch Pack River to Tavern segment. This part of Pack River is proposed for paddlers of medium experience. Nearby there is a nice 6-mile-in-length type IV-V+ whitewater run, the Smith Creek Bridge to above Smith Creek Falls sector of Smith Creek. This part of Smith Creek is nice for those with a lot of whitewater experience. Of course, raft paddling
is amusing but treacherous; check conditions previous to going. If only every spot had this much outdoors fun things, what a great earth it would be.
