The slopes of Schweitzer are so inviting noone can resist; the sight of stunning Myrtle Peak is glorious. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Myrtle Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Dirt Oven Campground is a good place for that, and whitewater paddling is tremendous       on Boundary Creek. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Two Mouth Lakes, and if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites SANDPOINT, NORTH is a glorious choice. Myrtle Lake gets very little precipitation; November is the wettest month with most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. For the duration of the summertime at Myrtle Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's. Once the sun is down                  it falls down to the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and night lows at Myrtle Lake throughout the winter typically descend into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool stuff the area near Myrtle Lake has to offer. In case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Smith Creek, and dry warm beds await you at Schweitzer Mountain Resort.
