A visit to Muskrat Lake is always a good idea. Dry warm beds await you at La Quinta Inn Sandpoint, and hey, Carr Creek is a nice local stream. Take a hike on the Leiberg-Athol Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Muskrat Lake has to offer, you can camp at Spring Point Campground. Hiking along the White Mountain Trail is splendid fun, and there's whitewater on Pack River for all you adrenaline junkies.

Muskrat Lake is a fine site to camp, Fox Farm RV Resort is a fine site, and after a long day outdoors Schweitzer Mountain Resort is a great place to spend a night or two. Now, you may believe that's a heap but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Muskrat Lake. Mallard Bay is nearby and always brilliant to stop by; the snow is fine at
Schweitzer. The annual rain here at Muskrat Lake is about average; most of the snow falls through December, and the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful. A pretty lake like Little Lake near Muskrat Lake is a tremendous location to visit; you can run the rapids of Priest River.
