What a nice lake Mud Lake is. Having a perfect time at Mud Lake is uncomplicated. Get your pulse rate up on the nice whitewater of Johnson Creek. There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Buck Mountain Campground is a splendid place for that. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Salmon River Mountains. Mud Lake is one of the lakes here in the Salmon River Mountains.

Getting to North Fork Sand Creek from Mud Lake is uncomplicated; don't leave Mud Lake without
first going for a hike along the Burnt Log Trail. Stay the night at Pen Basin Campground, and Ashley Inn is a perfect spot to get some rest. Mud Lake gets a normal amount of rainfall; January is the wettest month with most snow while July is generally the driest month.
