    Do stop by Mud Lake while you're in this part of Idaho. For the period of the long summer days here at Mud Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are ordinarily in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Mud Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are some good whitewater spots on Teton Creek, and a day on the slopes of Grand Targhee is just what you need.
 
   If you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Driggs is a glorious choice; Mud Lake is not far at all from Jackson. Around Mud Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is usually May, that's the one that rains the most, and March is the month with the least moisture. All the outdoors exciting stuff close to Mud Lake will keep you coming back many times. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Pine  
               Creek; the skiing at Jackson Hole is fine.
This lake is so wonderful. Mud Lake is a magnificent spot to visit for more than one day, Teton Valley Campground is a magnificent spot to camp nearby; the Game Creek Trail is a nice hiking trail nearby. Trail Creek Campground is a delightful campground nearby, and you might also want to pay a visit to Sweet Hollow if you're here at Mud Lake. A perfect close by hotel is Teton Valley Cabins, and there is a brilliant hiking trail close by called the Teton Crest Trail.
Take a little spree to Allen Creek while you're here at Mud Lake, and on a pleasant day you can take a hike along the Taylor Mountain Trail.
