The beauty of Mud Lake is reason enough to stop by. Camping is available at Teton Valley Campground, and as expected Allen Creek flows through this area. If you need a location to stay Teton Springs Lodge & Spa is a good choice, and hiking along the Taylor Mountain Trail is wonderful fun. Around Mud Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; the wettest month of the year is mostly May, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is March.

| | loves skiing at Grand Targhee, and Mud Lake is a place with many visitors from Jackson. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Trails End Motel, and camping at Trail Creek Campground is always a good experience. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the vicinity of Mud Lake. Have a good hiking adventure along the Game Creek Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Teton Creek.

and hey, Gotta ski right? Jackson Hole is a delightful place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Pine Creek offers some great whitewater, and since you're here you can take a hike along the
Teton Crest Trail. High temperatures at Mud Lake all through the days of summer are in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. Throughout the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 20's while Mud Lake nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's.
