If you are traveling by, why not stop by Mud Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Snake River is so much fun, and camping at Black Pine Campground is always a delightful experience. High temperatures at Mud Lake through the summertime months are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's while Mud Lake overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's. A glorious site

| | to camp here at Mud Lake is Gem Trailer Village; lots of people from Lewiston come here. East Fork Sweetwater Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at; get wet paddling on Clearwater River. A great close by hotel is Lewiston Super 8 Motel, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Lewiston, Id is a nice place to spend a night or two.
