High temperatures at Mud Lake during the months of summer are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Mud Lake are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Snake River, and you're sure to encounter some great folks from Lewiston here. Not sufficient hours in a       day to enjoy this place. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Mud Lake has to offer, you can camp at Gem Trailer Village, and paddling on Clearwater River is so much fun. A quick trip to East Fork Sweetwater Creek in close proximity to Mud Lake is a wonderful idea, and Lake Waha is a nearby lake that you could explore. Stay the night at Black Pine Campground, and if you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Express Lewiston, Id is a wonderful choice.                  While you're here at Mud Lake, you could also go to charming Blue Lake; dry warm beds await you at Lewiston Super 8 Motel.
