If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Clearwater Mountains. Good hiking is available along the East Boyd Glover Roundtop National Recreation Trail. Yep, outdoors fun stuff truly is abundant here in the Clearwater Mountains. Old Man Meadows is a fine spot, and the Anderson Butte National Recreation Trail offers hiking at its best. Through the warmest time of the year       highs here at Mud Lake get into the 80's while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Mud Lake. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! Mud Lake is peerless! Mud Lake is not the only spot close by, Seven Lakes is a close by lake, and if you came to camp Green Flat Campground is a great place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Mud Lake is tremendous enough                  to spend more than a day at, Race Creek Campground is a tremendous local campground, and if you get bored of Mud Lake you could also go to close by Rock Lake. Float down the rapids of Fish Creek in a kayak, and you get a brilliant panorama of Stanley Butte from here. The yearly rain here at Mud Lake is about average; all through January this area sees the most snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
