Mud Lake is a nice lake to visit. Lochsa River has a delightful whitewater paddling spot nearby, and one of the major highlights of the surroundings of Mud Lake is Stanley Butte. Mud Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Race Creek Campground is a glorious local campground, and you can have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Anderson Butte National Recreation Trail. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting

| | stuff in the Clearwater Mountains. Hiking along the Meadow Creek National Recreation Trail is magnificent fun. There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Green Flat Campground is a tremendous place for that.
The annual precipitation here at Mud Lake is about average; through January this area sees the most snow; July on the other hand is the driest. This lake is one of the great places here in the Clearwater Mountains. This | |

lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the East Boyd Glover Roundtop National Recreation Trail, and whitewater paddling is brilliant on Fish Creek.
And if that's not sufficient, there's a load more to do near Mud Lake. Old Man Meadows
is right here at Mud Lake. Summertime highs at Mud Lake typically tend to be in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's; nighttime lows in the 20's for Mud Lake.
