Mud Lake

 
  Mud Lake is located in the Clearwater Mountains. A great site to camp here at Mud Lake is Wilderness Gateway, and Stanley Butte is pretty and can be seen from here. This lake is so wonderful. Mud Lake is close to Clearwater National Forest which is a charming place.
This location, the Clearwater Mountains, has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Camping at Shady Creekssissippi River Pools 11-22 is always a magnificent experience; a pleasant visit to Old Man
    Meadows is a good way to spend an afternoon.
Lochsa River has a close by whitewater part; the Wilderness Gateway bridge to Split Creek Pack Bridge sector is a good 9-mile-in-distance grade III-IV part of whitewater.
