The Lost River Range is excellent! A magnificent site       to camp here at Mud Lake is Moose Crossing RV Park, and locations like Wet Creek Basin are magnificent to take a look at. For the period of the summer at Mud Lake highs are typically in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Mud Lake plunge into the 0's. Why not go to nearby Bear Creek since you're here at Mud Lake, and obviously, this is                  a perfect region for folks who like lakes, Twin Lakes is a lake in close proximity. Mud Lake is generally a pretty waterless place; June is when you get the most rain here; February is the month with the least moisture. Camping at Bear Creek Campground is always a splendid experience, and Craters Of The Moon National Monument is a magnificent national park.
