Head up to Schweitzer and strap some skis to your feet, and Inn At Sand Creek is a delightful place to get some rest. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Mud Lake; Larch Mountain Trail is a great local trail; get your pulse rate up on the fine whitewater of Pack River. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Pack River,       and a pleasant close by hotel is Best Western Edgewater Resort. All through the summertime months at Mud Lake highs are mostly in the 80's while night lows are typically in the 40's. Highs during the winter are generally in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Mud Lake temperatures sink to the 10's. Man, is there heaps of enjoyable things to do in the vicinity of Mud Lake. Not far from Mud Lake you come across Camp Bay, and a pleasant                  location to camp here at Mud Lake is Garfield Bay Resort. Why not camp at Idaho Country Resort if you're here at Mud Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Green Mountain Trail. Mud Lake gets a normal amount of annual rainfall; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain while July is mostly the driest month.
