If you came for an overnight stay Trestle Creek RV Park is a wonderful place to camp; don't leave Mud Lake without first going for a hike along the Larch Mountain Trail. Inn At Sand Creek is a fine site to get some rest; get your heart beating on the fine whitewater of Pack River. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful close by hotel is Best Western Edgewater Resort, and skiing at Schweitzer       is one of those things you just have to do. So much exciting stuff to do at Mud Lake, so little time. Go for a hike on the Upper Declaration Trail, and camping is available at Idaho Country Resort. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Mud Lake you hit upon Camp Bay; going for a hike on the Green Mountain Trail is always a tremendous adventure. Mud Lake is a good place of typical rainfall; during November this area sees the most rain while July is the month                  with the least amount of precipitation. For the duration of the days of summer at Mud Lake highs are regularly in the 80's while night lows are usually in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Mud Lake are in the 10's.
