If you are in Bonner county it's always a good idea to stop by Mud Lake. Summertime at Mud Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's while overnight lows are frequently in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows during the winter for Mud Lake tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Sure, Lost Lake is in close proximity to Mud Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Pack River. You're possibly interested in lakes, Eaton Lake is one of those nearby, and while you're here, do take a journey to Camp Bay. do take a hike on the Larch Mountain Trail. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Upper Declaration Trail, and there are some glorious whitewater spots on Pack River. This lake is so wonderful. Schweitzer is a glorious local
ski area. From a precipitation point of view Mud Lake is a relatively normal spot; during the month of November you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is July. If you need a place to stay Inn At Sand Creek
is a great choice. There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Garfield Bay Resort is a good spot for that.

 | 17 miles away 1 PHOTO ...are 50amp fullhookup pull-thrus, 3 huge super sites overlooking the lake, and another 20 partial hookup sites. We also have camping cabins and covered wagons and Wooden pole tents with wooden floors. We also have internet, movie rentals, and sell propane too. This area has tons of hiking, fishing, hunting and canoing/kayaking in the Kootenai River. The Kootenai Wildlife Refuge is 5 miles away and is great to hike around. We have fishing and swimming in our 3 acre lake and have 2 huge Lakeside Firepits. Some of the sites have BBQs and Picnic Tables and we sell ice, wood, charcoal, pop, snacks and some RV hookup supplies. Here are a couple of great hikes to add to the site:
Snowcreek Falls, Naples, Idaho. Directions: Go north from Sandpoint on Highway 95 to Naples. Turn left on the old highway 95 and go about 5 miles, passing the Deep Creek Inn. You will cross a railroad crossing, keep following the road until you see a brown Forest Service sign on the right hand side of the road.
