Throughout the warm months at Mud Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 40's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Mud Lake plunge into the 0's. A good close by hotel is Park Motel, and there are fine spots to explore along the Midland Trail. Around Mud Lake you don’t get a lot of       rainfall; the month with most of the rain is May; the driest month of the year is July. Camping is available at Montpelier Creek KOA, and you can go for a hike on the Limber Pine Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Three Sisters Motel is a magnificent choice, and a wonderful place to camp here at Mud Lake is Minnetonka RV Parks and Campgrnd.
