    Why not stop by Mosquito Lake if you're passing through these parts. Just can't get enough of Mosquito Lake. Cutthroat Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and Mosquito Lake is right by the Center Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The Three Blaze Trail offers hiking at its best, and if you get bored of Mosquito Lake you could also visit close by Sheepeater Lake. The Salmon River Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
The amount of
 
   rainfall that falls at Mosquito Lake is close to the national average; through the month of January you get the most snow around here; July is when it's the driest. Why not camp at Rhett Creek Campground if you're here at Mosquito Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Salmon River. Just can't get enough of the Salmon River Mountains. The skiing at Brundage Mountain is glorious.
If you came for an overnight stay Mackay Bar Campground is a wonderful
 
               place to camp; from Mosquito Lake you acquire a tremendous sight of Mosquito Peak. Throughout the warm days of summer, highs regularly are in the 70's at Mosquito Lake. Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 30's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Mosquito Lake temperatures sink to the 0's. And that's not all the things to do here in the Salmon River Mountains. Hiking along the Chamberlain Trail is nice fun, and there are some brilliant whitewater spots on Salmon River - East Fork of South Fork.
