Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Neilsen Reservoir, and a pleasant trip to Squaw Flat is a glorious way to spend an afternoon. Go for a hike on the Bremner Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Mormon Reservoir, you'll come across McHan Reservoir which is a pretty lake, and if you have time to spare, Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument is a national park worth taking a look       at. Mormon Dam is gorgeous and it's in the vicinity of Mormon Reservoir, and Mormon Reservoir is a nice place to visit for more than one day, Soldier Creek RV Park is a nice place to camp nearby. Stay the night at Iron Mountain Inn; hey, East Fork Threemile Creek is a delightful local stream. This place, Mormon Reservoir, it truly has so much outdoors cool stuff. A day on the slopes of Soldier Mountain Ski Resort is just what you need, and Lookout Point                  is scenic and can be seen from here. Mormon Reservoir is a location that is relatively dehydrated ordinarily; most of the snow falls all through December while August is the month with the least amount of precipitation. For the duration of the long summer days highs here at Mormon Reservoir get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 40's.
