If you are in this part of Idaho make sure to pay a visit to Morgan Lake. These mountains rock, just check out all the fun stuff to do in the Salmon River Mountains. If you come at the right time of year, Hard Creek offers some glorious whitewater. There's so much to do here at Morgan Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hazard Campground is a good place for that. Not much precipitation falls here at Morgan Lake; through May this area sees the most rain;

| | the driest month is July. Hazard Falls is a beautiful site to stop by while you're at Morgan Lake, and lakes are such calm places, why not take a look at Coffee Cup Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Western Mountain Lodge is a great choice, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge. places like Hard Creek meadows are glorious to have a look at. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Hazard Creek, and nearby you stumble on the Lava Butte Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful.
There are great places to explore along the Crestline Trail; Hyatt Creek is near Morgan Lake and is always a joy to take a look at. All through the warm months highs here at Morgan Lake get into the 90's. Summer overnight lows dip
down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are mostly in the 40's; night lows through the wintertime for Morgan Lake tend to be in the 20's. If you want a brilliant time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Salmon
River Mountains. Going for a hike on the Broken Leg Trail is always a tremendous adventure; Bascom Canyon is also a good site to explore. The Salmon River Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
