     Morehead Lake is a nice lake to visit. Velvet Falls Campground is a brilliant local campground, and from Morehead Lake you get a good panorama of Morehead Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Prospect Creek Trail, and whitewater paddling is great on Bear Valley Creek. The Salmon River Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
And if that's not enough there's plenty more cool stuff to do in the Salmon River Mountains.
 
   Dry warm beds await you at Ashley Inn, and get wet paddling on Salmon River - Middle Fork. If the weather is great here at Morehead Lake, you can go for a hike along the Camptender Trail, and Morehead Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Bruce Meadows Campground is a good place to camp nearby. Summertime highs at Morehead Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's. For the duration of the winter the highs are frequently  
               in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Morehead Lake.
Any time is a good time at Morehead Lake if you adore the outdoors. Take a little trip to Morehead Creek if you're here at Morehead Lake, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Sulphur Creek Trail. Morehead Lake is a good site of normal precipitation; all through January this area sees the most snow, and July meanwhile is the driest month. Now, you may believe that's loads but there's even more cool things to do here in the Salmon River Mountains. Brundage Mountain has splendid slopes and a friendly staff.
