Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. Through the winter highs are frequently in the 30's; nighttime lows all through the winter for Moose Lake tend to be in the 10's. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! The Bitterroot Range is great!. This lake is so wonderful. There is a brilliant hiking trail close to Moose Lake called the Saint Mary Peak Trail; camping       is available at LoLo Hot Springs Resort. Moose Lake is a beautiful lake in the Bitterroot Range. Just can't get enough of Moose Lake. Near Moose Lake you come across the Sweeney Ridge Trail which is a glorious hiking trail, and if you get bored of Moose Lake you could also explore nearby Grimes Lake. Now, you may think that's a lot but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the Bitterroot Range. Skookum Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and                  paddling on White Sand Creek is so much fun. The Sally Ridge Trail is a good hiking trail near Moose Lake, and a splendid place to camp here at Moose Lake is Fort Lolo Hot Springs. A great nearby hotel is Days Inn And Suites Lolo; whitewater paddling is splendid on Brushy Fork.
