At Moose Lake you don’t see much precipitation; November is the month that gets the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Moose Lake has to offer, you can camp at Porcupine Lake Campground; a great panorama of pretty Benning Mountain is available. During the months of summer highs here at Moose Lake reach the       80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's; nighttime lows in the 20's for Moose Lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the Cabinet Mountains. Stay the night at East Fork Public Campground; the East Fork Boulder Creek Trail offers hiking at its best. If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the Cabinet Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at                  Best Western Kootenai River Inn & Casino. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Cabinet Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Yaak River, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Moose Lake; Alpine Trail is a great local trail. If you come at the right time of year, Kootenai offers some good whitewater, and as expected Alpine Creek flows through this area. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the area near Moose Lake has to offer.
