Go for a hike on the Alpine Trail, and Alpine Creek is near Moose Lake and is always a delight to have a look at. A good sight of lovely Benning Mountain is available from Moose Lake; you can stay the night at Porcupine Lake Campground. Moose Lake is located in the Cabinet Mountains. So much entertaining stuff in the Cabinet Mountains, just striking. At Moose Lake you don’t see much precipitation; November       is the month that gets the most rain while July is usually the driest month. So many enjoyable things to do at Moose Lake, so little time. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Kootenai, and great hiking is available along the East Fork Boulder Creek Trail. Through the warm days of summer, highs usually are in the 80's at Moose Lake, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 30's, and winter nights come with                  lows in the 20's to Moose Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Cabinet Mountains. There are glorious places to discover along the North Fork Trail, and Best Western Kootenai River Inn & Casino is a magnificent location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful.
