During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Mirrow Lake has to offer, you can camp at Yellowjacket Campground, and there's magnificent hiking along the Ship       Island Trail. This site, the Salmon River Mountains, has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Get your heart beating on the nice whitewater of Panther Creek; here at Mirrow Lake you can see Bighorn Crags. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Waterfall Trail; the summits of the Bighorn Crags add much beauty to the vicinity. Good hiking is available along the Clear Creek Trail, and you can stay the night at Crags Campground. You assume that's enough?                  Just getting warmed up. Lakes are glorious; Pothole Lake is a lake that's near Mirrow Lake, and you can run the rapids of Camas Creek. This lake is located in the wonderful Salmon River Mountains. At Mirrow Lake you don’t see much precipitation; June is the month that gets the most rain while February is mostly the driest month. So many fun things to do in the Salmon River Mountains, not enough time.
