During the summertime at Mirrow Lake highs are commonly in the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 40's. Highs through the winter are usually in the 20's, and overnight lows at Mirrow Lake through the winter frequently sink into the 0's. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Panther Creek, and Yellowjacket Campground is a wonderful       local campground. Mirrow Lake is located in the Salmon River Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Waterfall Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Airplane Lake. So much fun stuff to do in the Salmon River Mountains, not enough time. Bighorn Crags can be spotted from Mirrow Lake. And that's not all you can do here at Mirrow Lake. Not far from Mirrow Lake, you'll find                  Heart Lake which is a pretty lake, and going for a hike along the Clear Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. It is very dry here at Mirrow Lake generally; June is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. This location, the Salmon River Mountains, has so much outdoors amusing things. The main highlight in the area is the Bighorn Crags, and get your heart beating on the splendid whitewater of Camas Creek.
