So much enjoyable stuff in the Wallowa Mountains, just astonishing. There's wonderful hiking along the Heavens Gate Trail, and at Mirror Lake you can see Tower of Babel. This lake is so wonderful. If only every place had this much outdoors amusing things, what a great globe it would be. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Upper Cannon Lake, and Mirror Lake is magnificent       enough to spend more than a day at, Seven Devils Campground is a magnificent local campground. During the warm months at Mirror Lake highs are ordinarily in the 90's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's while Mirror Lake overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's. Mirror Lake is commonly a pretty dried up site; most of the rain falls through May; the driest of the months                  is July. The Wallowa Mountains scenery is always beautiful. The Old Boise Trail offers hiking at its best, and get soaked paddling on Snake River. If you need a place to stay Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge is a brilliant choice. Lakes are good; Seven Devils Lake is a lake that's next to Mirror Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Whitetail Club and Resort is a fine spot to get some rest, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Little Salmon River. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things in the Wallowa Mountains.
