Middle Lake is right by the Parks Peak Trail, and why not head up to Brundage Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. Summertime at Middle Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 30's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Middle Lake temperatures plunge to the 0's. Middle Lake gets a common amount of yearly       rain; January is when you get the most snow here, and July is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Johnson Creek offers some pleasant whitewater, and the peak of Crater Peak can be observed from Middle Lake. Man, is there lots of cool stuff to do in the Salmon River Mountains. Drift down the rapids of Salmon River - East Fork of South Fork in a kayak. Lakes? Sure, Fish Lake is in the neighborhood. Be careful                  coming to Middle Lake, you might not ever want to return home again. While staying at Middle Lake you could always look at Profile Gap, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Ellison Creek. Going for a hike along the Indian Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Middle Lake has to offer, you can camp at Golden Gate Campground. The Salmon River Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Stay the night at Yellow Pine Campground; a great close by hotel is Super 8 McCall. So many exciting things to do here in the Salmon River Mountains, too great to be true.
