Don't leave Medicine Lake without first going for a hike along the Caribou Ridge National Recreation Trail; if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on St. Maries River. There's perfect hiking along the English Point National Recreation Trail, and a nice nearby hotel is Red Horse       Mountain Ranch. This lake is so wonderful. Medicine Lake is not the only place nearby, Cave Lake is a nearby lake, and Canary Creek is right next door to Medicine Lake and is always a pleasure to pop by. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Medicine Lake; White Pine Scenic Drive is a great local trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Medicine Lake has to offer, you can camp at Rainy Hill Campground, and you're                  sure to run into some good people from Coeur d'Alene here. Yeah, come here to Medicine Lake for a nice time. There's so much to do here at Medicine Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Shady River RV Park is a glorious site for that, and after a long day outdoors La Quinta Inn AND Suites Coeur D'Alene East is a splendid spot to spend a night or two. The yearly rainfall here at Medicine Lake is about average; during December this area sees the most snow, and July on the other hand is the driest. The warmest time of the year at Medicine Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's.
