McWillards Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Point Campground is a great local campground; you acquire a delightful sight of Cony Peak from here. But wait, there's more cool stuff to do in the Sawtooth Range. Have a good hiking adventure along the Black Warrior Creek Trail. You're probably keen on lakes, Oreamnos Lake is one of those close by, and paddling on Salmon River is       so much fun. McWillards Lake gets a typical amount of annual rainfall; January is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest of the months is July. This is no location for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. McWillards Lake is right by the Bull Moose Trail, and if you need a place to stay Greyhawk by ResortQuest is a pleasant choice. Having a great time in the Sawtooth Range is painless. Take a hike on the Yellow Belly Trail, and get wet paddling                  on Salmon River. Through the summer months highs here at McWillards Lake get into the 80's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 40's. Through the wintertime highs are regularly in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at McWillards Lake dip into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
