Now, you may believe that's a load but there's even more exciting things to do here in the Sawtooth Range. Yellow Belly Lake is a delightful lake right next door to McDonald Lake. There's so much to do here at McDonald Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Smoky Bear Campground is a splendid place for that.       Throughout the warmest time of the year, highs commonly are in the 70's at McDonald Lake. For the period of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 30's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's while the cold winter nights at McDonald Lake are in the-10's. The Sawtooth Range scenery is always beautiful. There's whitewater on Salmon River for all you thrill seekers, and nice skiing awaits you at Soldier Mountain Ski Resort.
