Why not camp at Fog Mountain Campground while you're here at Maude Lake, and going for a hike on the Anderson Butte National Recreation Trail is always a brilliant adventure. Camping is available at Green Flat Campground, and close by you hit upon the Meadow Creek National Recreation Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Clearwater Mountains.       You'll locate a wonderful lake called Mud Lake near Maude Lake, and the East Boyd Glover Roundtop National Recreation Trail is a glorious hiking trail close by. And if that's not enough, there's plenty more to do near Maude Lake. There's whitewater on Fish Creek for all you adrenaline kick people. All through the summertime, highs typically are in the 80's at Maude Lake. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the                  30's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Maude Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such calm places, why not go to Lottie Lake in close proximity to Maude Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Lochsa River. Maude Lake gets a common amount of rainfall; January is when you get the most snow here; July meanwhile is the driest month.
