This lake is located in the wonderful Clearwater Mountains. There is a splendid hiking trail in close proximity to Maude Lake called the East Boyd Glover Roundtop National Recreation Trail, and Maude Lake is a nice site to visit for more than one day, Green Flat Campground is a nice site to camp nearby. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! The Clearwater Mountains is great! Going for a       hike on the Anderson Butte National Recreation Trail is always a brilliant adventure; in case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Lochsa River. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Maude Lake. For the period of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and night lows in the 20's for Maude Lake. Fish Creek has a glorious whitewater paddling spot nearby.                  This lake is so wonderful. Near Maude Lake you stumble on the Meadow Creek National Recreation Trail which is a great hiking trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Maude Lake has to offer, you can camp at Fog Mountain Campground.
