Throughout the warm days of summer highs here at Mary Lake reach the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Highs all through the wintertime are typically in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Mary Lake temperatures fall to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Mary Lake has to offer, you can camp at Allison Creek       Campground, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Gay Lake. Man, is there plenty of amusing stuff to do in the vicinity of Mary Lake. Going for a hike along the Broken Leg Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and whitewater paddling is magnificent on Little Salmon River. This lake is so wonderful. A great close by hotel is Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge, and if you're here at Mary Lake                  it's a great idea to go to Devils Hole. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Salmon River Mountains. If you're keen on cool geologic marks, try Devils Ladder, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Lava Butte Trail. Mary Lake is pretty dry regularly; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is July. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Salmon River Mountains. After a long day outdoors Whitetail Club and Resort is a perfect site to spend a night or two, and paddling on Hard Creek is so much fun. There's so much to do here at Mary Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Canyon Pines RV Resort is a pleasant location for that, and not far from Mary Lake you'll come across John Lake which is a lovely lake.
