Maki Lake is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water nearby, Idler Creek is a stream you can explore during your stay, and if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Fall Creek Trail. For the duration of the days of summer highs here at Maki Lake get into the 90's. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime

| | at Maki Lake temperatures fall to the 20's. Dry warm beds await you at Mccall Super 8 Lodge, and Golden Lake is a great lake nearby.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Salmon River Mountains. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at Maki Lake. There is a fine hiking trail near Maki Lake called the Boulder Driveway Trail; if you came for an overnight stay Black Lee Campground is a fine site to camp. If you need a site | |

Just can't get enough of the Salmon River Mountains. Payette River - North Fork has a good whitewater paddling spot close by. And that's
not everything there is to do here in the Salmon River Mountains. Camping at Maki Lake is great fun, Lake Fork Campground is a great local campground, and the Box Lake Trail is a glorious hiking trail close by. Maki Lake is pretty dry generally; the month with most of the rain is May, and July is when it's the driest.
