What a nice lake Maki Lake is. That right there is loads of cool things already but it goes on, the Salmon River Mountains has it all. Stay the night at Lake Fork Campground, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Maki Lake; Boulder Driveway Trail is a perfect local trail. Maki Lake is mostly a reasonably dried up place; May is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful.

| | are in the 90's at Maki Lake while nighttime lows are commonly in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Maki Lake temperatures fall to the 20's. Good hiking is available along the Box Lake Trail, and the top of Sawtooth Peak is easily made out from Maki Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Be careful coming to the Salmon River Mountains, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Dry warm beds await you at Mccall Super 8 Lodge, and a wonderful spot for whitewater paddling is Payette River - North Fork. Black
Lee Campground is a splendid campground nearby. Lakes are perfect; Anderson Lake is a lake that's close to Maki Lake. All the outdoors amusing stuff right next door to Maki Lake will keep you coming back many times. Don't leave Maki
Lake without first going for a hike along the Fall Creek Trail; unsurprisingly, this is a wonderful area for folks who like lakes, Thirtythree Lake is a lake in close proximity.
