Do stop by Magic Reservoir while you're in this part of Idaho. You get a great view of Clay Bank Hills from Magic Reservoir; since you're here you should pop by Myrtle Point. Be careful coming to Magic Reservoir, you might not ever want to go home again. There's whitewater on Big Wood River for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Culvert Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Best Western Tyrolean Lodge is a good choice. Magic Reservoir gets very little rainfall; during January this area sees the most snow; August on the other hand is the driest. There's so much to do here at Magic Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Riverside RV Campground is a fine spot for that, and a short journey to Calhoun
Spring is always worthwhile. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Magic Reservoir, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Magic Reservoir.
