Mac Han Lake is one of the lakes here in the Salmon River Mountains. It is very arid here at Mac Han Lake usually; May is the month that gets the most rain, and July is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Mac       Han Lake; Lava Butte Trail is a magnificent local trail, and if you came to camp Upper Payette Lake Campground is a good place to do that. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Crestline Trail, and in all probability you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, French Creek Lakes is just a very short distance away. So much entertaining stuff to do here in the Salmon River Mountains, too good to be true. There's so much to do here at Mac Han Lake that you need to                  camp here for a while, Hazard Campground is a great place for that, and dry warm beds await you at Western Mountain Lodge.
