Why not camp at Upper Payette Lake Campground while you're here at Mac Han Lake, and if you come at the right time of year, Payette River - North Fork offers some wonderful whitewater. Summertime at Mac Han Lake comes with high temperatures in the 90's while overnight lows are       typically in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Mac Han Lake are in the 20's. Yep, outdoors entertaining stuff to do are truly abundant here at Mac Han Lake. Black Tip is clearly visible from Mac Han Lake, and don't leave Mac Han Lake without first going for a hike along the Broken Leg Trail. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Salmon River Mountains. A good nearby hotel is                  Whitetail Club and Resort; camping is available at Hazard Campground. So many cool things to do in the Salmon River Mountains, not sufficient time. A wonderful place to visit in close proximity to Mac Han Lake is Fisher Creek Saddle, and going for a hike on the Lava Butte Trail is always a tremendous adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, French Creek Lakes is close to Mac Han Lake, and AmericInn McCall is a brilliant place to get some rest. This is a great area for folks who like lakes. Kenneth Lake is a lake in close proximity; there are brilliant sites to look at along the Crestline Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
