     Idaho has many beautiful lakes and Mac Han Lake is one of them. All year is a good time in the Salmon River Mountains if you like the outdoors. Get dripping wet paddling on Payette River - North Fork. Mac Han Lake is one of the lakes here in the Salmon River Mountains. It is very arid here at Mac Han Lake usually; May is the month that gets the most rain, and July is when it's the driest.
This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Mac
 
   Han Lake; Lava Butte Trail is a magnificent local trail, and if you came to camp Upper Payette Lake Campground is a good place to do that. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Crestline Trail, and in all probability you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, French Creek Lakes is just a very short distance away. So much entertaining stuff to do here in the Salmon River Mountains, too good to be true. There's so much to do here at Mac Han Lake that you need to  
               camp here for a while, Hazard Campground is a great place for that, and dry warm beds await you at Western Mountain Lodge.
If you need a place to stay AmericInn McCall is a pleasant choice, and Fisher Creek Saddle is another good place to stop by nearby. High temperatures at Mac Han Lake all through the summertime are in the 90's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Mac Han Lake. Any time is a great time at Mac Han Lake if you go for the outdoors. Black Tip is trouble-free to spot from Mac Han Lake; do take a hike on the Broken Leg Trail.
