    Mac Han Lake is a lake worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby Fisher Creek Saddle is a great location to go if you're at Mac Han Lake, and Mac Han Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Upper Payette Lake Campground is a delightful local campground. Mac Han Lake is commonly a rather dried up spot; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is July. Near Mac Han Lake you discover the Broken Leg Trail which is a brilliant  
   hiking trail; the peak of Black Tip can be observed from Mac Han Lake.
And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do right next door to Mac Han Lake. Nearby lakes? Sure, Upper Hazard Lake is near Mac Han Lake, and a nice nearby hotel is AmericInn McCall. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Whitetail Club and Resort is a nice choice, and the Crestline Trail is a tremendous hiking trail nearby.
The Salmon River Mountains scenery
 
               is always beautiful. But wait, there's more cool stuff to do in the Salmon River Mountains. Looking for something right next door to Mac Han Lake? Kenneth Lake is in the vicinity, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Lava Butte Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Salmon River Mountains. There's so much to do here at Mac Han Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hazard Campground is a great spot for that, and if you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Payette River - North Fork.
During the warmest time of the year here at Mac Han Lake, high temperatures typically get into the 90's. Through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Mac Han Lake temperatures descend to the 20's.
