It's always fun to stop by Lower Stevens Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Ryan Hotel, and there are magnificent places to look at along the Wonderful Trail. The Bitterroot Range scenery is always beautiful. All year is a pleasant time in the Bitterroot Range if you adore the outdoors. Do visit Lone Lake right next door to Lower Stevens Lake, it's a charming lake, and get wet paddling on St. Joe River - North Fork.

| | gets a common amount of annual precipitation; most of the snow falls through January; the driest month is July. Any time is a pleasant time at Lower Stevens Lake if you like the outdoors. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Arid Ridge Trail; glide down the rapids of St. Joe River - Skookum Canyon in a kayak.

Pass is a wonderful local ski area, and you can go for a hike on the Kyle Creek Trail. After a long day outdoors Lookout Motel is a fine place to spend a night or two, and if you came for an overnight stay Denna Mora Campground is
a nice location to camp.
East Fork Willow Creek is a great local stream, and not far from Lower Stevens Lake you obtain some pleasant water scenery at Lucky Friday Number Three Dam. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining
things in the Bitterroot Range. The top of Stevens Peak is easily made out from Lower Stevens Lake, and a glorious site to go to nearby is Deadman Gulch. Camping is available at Squaw Creek Campground, and the skiing at Lookout Pass is pleasant.
