What a nice lake Louse Lake is. This lake is one of the great places here in the Clearwater Mountains. Hiking along the East Boyd Glover Roundtop National Recreation Trail is brilliant fun. Going for a hike along the Anderson Butte National Recreation Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and you can run the rapids of Lochsa River.
This lake is so wonderful. Gedney Creek Campground is a nice campground nearby; don't leave Louse Lake

| | without first checking out Flea Ridge Point. That right there is heaps of entertaining things already but it goes on, the Clearwater Mountains has it all. If you came for an overnight stay Fog Mountain Campground is a tremendous place to camp, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Meadow Creek National Recreation Trail. The amount of rainfall that falls at Louse Lake is close to the national average; most of the snow falls through January while July | |

During the warmest time of the year highs here at Louse Lake reach the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's, and night lows in the 20's for Louse Lake.
