If you are in this part of Idaho make sure to pay a visit to Lost Valley Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Get soaked paddling on Little Salmon River, and on a magnificent day you can take a hike along the Rapid River Trail. Lost Valley Dam is not far at all from Lost Valley Reservoir, and the Deep Creek Trail is a tremendous hiking trail close by. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Wallowa Mountains. It is very dried out here at Lost Valley Reservoir

frequently in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Lost Valley Reservoir temperatures fall to the 20's. Lost Valley Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Wallowa Mountains.
But wait, there's more entertaining stuff to do in the Wallowa Mountains. A nice place next to Lost Valley Reservoir is Slaughterhouse Gulch, and after a long day outdoors Whitetail Club and Resort is a tremendous spot to spend a night or two.
