The beauty of Lost Lake attracts many people from all around. Any time is a glorious time at Lost Lake if you love the outdoors. There's whitewater on Monumental Creek for all you thrill seekers. If the weather is delightful, you obtain a good view of Puddin Mountain from Lost Lake; on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Ship Island Trail. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Camas Creek; since you're here

| | you can take a hike along the South Fork Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Lost Lake, for example Alpine Lake; Yellowjacket Campground is a wonderful campground here. At Lost Lake during the summer highs are in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and nighttime lows at Lost Lake all through the winter commonly drop into the 0's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy | |

the Salmon River Mountains. Lost Lake is a delightful spot to camp, Parrot Placer Campground is a delightful spot, and there is a delightful hiking trail nearby called the Waterfall Trail. The Salmon River Mountains scenery is
always beautiful. It is very dried up here at Lost Lake usually; during June this area sees the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture.
