    Lost Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Throughout the summertime months highs here at Lost Lake get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows during the wintertime for Lost Lake tend to be in the 0's. Man, is there plenty of entertaining things to do in the Salmon River Mountains. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! Lost Lake rocks! A great place  
   for whitewater paddling close to Lost Lake is Camas Creek; going for a hike on the South Fork Trail is always a great adventure.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Salmon River Mountains. From Lost Lake you obtain a good panorama of Puddin Mountain. Lakes are good; Terrace Lakes is a lake that's near Lost Lake. You clearly should adore the Salmon River Mountains. In case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling
 
               on Monumental Creek, and you can go for a hike on the Ship Island Trail.
Why not camp at Parrot Placer Campground if you're here at Lost Lake, and obviously, this is a great neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Echo Lake is a lake close at hand. Lost Lake gets very little rain; the wettest month of the year is commonly June, that's the one that rains the most, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. A great place to camp here at Lost Lake is Yellowjacket Campground, and fine hiking is available along the Waterfall Trail.
