     You completely have to like Lost Lake. You'll hit upon a beautiful lake called West Puddin Lake near Lost Lake; a great location for whitewater paddling is Monumental Creek. It is very arid here at Lost Lake frequently; through June this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Summer at Lost Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. All through the winter highs are usually in the  
   20's, and overnight lows all through the wintertime for Lost Lake tend to be in the 0's.
This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Waterfall Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and you can run the rapids of Camas Creek. This lake is one of the great places here in the Salmon River Mountains. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Salmon River Mountains. Take a hike on the South Fork Trail, and you can stay the night at
 
               Yellowjacket Campground.
Have a splendid hiking adventure along the Ship Island Trail. There's so much to do here at Lost Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Parrot Placer Campground is a brilliant location for that. All the outdoors enjoyable things in the Salmon River Mountains will keep you coming back time and again. On a wonderful day you obtain a panorama of Puddin Mountain from Lost Lake, and a lovely lake like Turquoise Lake is a splendid place to take a look at.
