    Do stop by Lost Lake while you're in this part of Idaho. Throughout the summertime months at Lost Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's while overnight lows are generally in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lost Lake are in the 10's. A normal amount of rain falls here at Lost Lake; January is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at  
   Brundage Mountain is great, and going for a hike on the Blue Bunch Trail is always a good adventure.
Lost Lake is one of the lakes here in the Sawtooth Range. You clearly must like the Sawtooth Range. Camping at Lola Creek Campground is always a wonderful experience. Man, is there loads of cool stuff to do near Lost Lake. Float down the rapids of Marsh Creek in a kayak; Lost Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Sheepeater Hot Springs Campground is
 
               a nice local campground.
Helldiver Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore, and nearby you stumble on the Bear Valley Creek Trail which is a good hiking trail. These mountains rock, just check out all the entertaining stuff to do in the Sawtooth Range. A lake nearby is Josephus Lake, and get wet paddling on Rapid River. A good sight of wonderful Mount Mills is available from Lost Lake; you can go for a hike on the Garden Creek Trail.

Moderate uphill hike..couple of miles from road; classic rock wall mountain behind lake; nice place to backpack into..day trip or camp overnite; some wild life; hiked in here in summer and early spring when 1 - 2' of snow on ground (and melt was rushing down mountain side beneath snow...flowers growing in ground beneath crystal clear runoff (beneath snow...quite a site).Didn't catch any fish during August trips. Last time I was in there was the 1970's....
