You'll need more than a day to explore everything Lost Lake has to offer, you can camp at Idaho Country Resort, and there are good sites to look at along the Upper North Fork Grouse Creek Trail. If you need a spot to stay Sandpoint Super 8 Motel is a magnificent choice, and it's a great idea to stop by Gold Creek. Best Western Edgewater Resort is a tremendous location to get some rest. Lost Lake is a good       place of typical rain; December is the wettest month with most snow, and July on the other hand is the driest. But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of Lost Lake. There's so much to do here at Lost Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sandpoint Koa Kampground is a magnificent place for that, and going for a hike on the Shertz Trail is always a great adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is great on Pack River, and you'll probably                  meet some people from Coeur d'Alene here. Through the summer at Lost Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's while nighttime lows are usually in the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are regularly in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Lost Lake temperatures descend to the 10's.
