| | This lake is one of the great places here in the Salmon River Mountains. Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Fall Creek Trail, and why not camp at Chinook Campground while you're here at Loon Lake. A tremendous spot for whitewater paddling near Loon Lake is Salmon River - South Fork; a perfect close by hotel is Western Mountain Lodge.

the Box Lake Trail is glorious fun, and camping at Loon Lake is splendid fun, Burgdorf Campground is a splendid local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Enos Meadow is a nice place; do take a hike on the Crestline Trail. Summer
at Loon Lake comes with high temperatures in the 90's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Loon Lake.
