Lookout Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Indian Creek Campground is a wonderful local campground, and don't leave Lookout Lake without first paying a visit to Caribou Falls. If you came to camp Plowboy Campground is a fine site to do that; get yourself into a kayak and hit Priest River. This lake is so wonderful. Visit Abandon Creek while you're here at Lookout Lake,       and why not take a refreshing hike along the Chipmunk Rapids National Recreation Trail. If you come at the right time of year, Smith Creek offers some splendid whitewater; hiking is a popular thing to do around Lookout Lake; Hanna Flast Nature Trail is a perfect local trail. If you like the outdoors, you'll fancy Lookout Lake. The skiing at Schweitzer is pleasant; Lookout Mountain is wonderful and can be spotted from here. The amount of rainfall that falls                  at Lookout Lake is close to the national average; throughout December this area sees the most snow, and the driest of the months is July. For the period of the summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Lookout Lake. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's.
