This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful place to camp here at Lookout Lake is Plowboy Campground, and the sight of Lookout Mountain is beautiful. Take a hike on the Chipmunk Rapids National Recreation Trail, and don't leave Lookout Lake without first paying a visit to Caribou Falls. You'll never       forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Schweitzer since you're here; hey, Abandon Creek is a great local stream. If only every site had this much outdoors amusing things, what a great planet it would be. There's whitewater on Smith Creek for all you thrill seekers; Caribou Lakes is a delightful lake nearby. Through the months of summer at Lookout Lake highs are usually in the 80's, and the overnight is fairly colder of course, generally in the 40's.                  During the winter this place gets highs in the 20's; night lows during the wintertime for Lookout Lake tend to be in the 10's. Lookout Lake is right by the Hanna Flast Nature Trail; lakes are such serene sites, why not stop by West Fork Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
