Long Lake is a lake worth visiting. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things in the Salmon River Mountains. Going for a hike along the Fall Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and after a long day outdoors AmericInn McCall is a great place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Payette River - North Fork offers some tremendous whitewater, and a good close by hotel is Western

| | Mountain Lodge. A lake nearby is East Lake, and do take a hike on the Crestline Trail.
So much amusing stuff in the Salmon River Mountains, just striking. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the area next to Long Lake has to offer. Camping is available at Upper Payette Campground, and Storm Peak is trouble-free to spot from Long Lake. Long Lake is one of the lakes here in the Salmon River Mountains.

at Long Lake; the wettest month of the year is generally May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is July. Through the summertime at Long Lake highs are mostly in the 90's while nighttime lows are
usually in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's; night lows all through the wintertime for Long Lake tend to be in the 20's. Hiking along the Box Lake Trail is great fun; why not camp at Upper Payette Lake Campground if you're here at Long Lake.
