Long Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. The summit of Rice Peak can be seen from Long Lake; camping at Fir Springs Campground is always a great experience. Long Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a charming outdoors paradise. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Brundage Mountain, and the Bull Creek Trail offers hiking at its best. So many entertaining things to do here in the Salmon River Mountains,

| | too perfect to be true. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Salmon River - South Fork, and Long Lake is right by the Rice Peak Trail.
Long Lake is located in the Salmon River Mountains. Summer at Long Lake comes with high temperatures in the 90's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 40's. Through the winter highs are commonly in the 30's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Long Lake temperatures sink to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. | |

Soar down the rapids of Deadwood River in a kayak, and if you get bored of Long Lake you could also visit close by Rice Lake.
It is very dehydrated here at Long Lake mostly; January is the month that gets the most snow while July
is regularly the driest month. Long Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Blue Point Campground is a wonderful local campground; there's perfect hiking along the Telephone Ridge Trail. All year is a good time in the Salmon River Mountains if you love the outdoors.
