In Idaho there are many beautiful lakes, Long Lake is one of them. This lake is located in the wonderful Salmon River Mountains. Any time is a fine time at Long Lake if you fancy the outdoors. Camping at Blue Point Campground is always a perfect experience. This lake is so wonderful. Rice Peak is clearly visible from Long Lake, and going for a hike along the Telephone Ridge Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area.

Long Lake gets very little precipitation; the month of January is the wettest with most
of the snow, and the driest of the months is July. The snow is nice at Brundage Mountain, and if the weather is fine, you can go for a hike along the Bull Creek Trail.
