    What a nice lake Lone Lake is. These mountains rock, just look at all the cool stuff to do in the Bitterroot Range. East Fork Willow Creek is a delightful local stream, and a tremendous site to camp here at Lone Lake is Squaw Creek Campground. The yearly precipitation here at Lone Lake is about average; the wettest month of the year is typically January, that's the one that snows the most; July is when it's the driest. You simply must love Lone Lake.

   Hunter Gulch is a brilliant place to go to in the vicinity of Lone Lake, and don't leave Lone Lake without first going for a hike along the Wonderful Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit St. Joe River - North Fork; pleasant hiking is available along the Arid Ridge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Lookout Pass has nice slopes and a friendly staff; why not camp at Packsaddle Campground since you're here at Lone Lake.

               enjoyable stuff to do are truly bountiful here at Lone Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Lookout Motel, and do visit Lower Stevens Lake, it's a striking lake. There's delightful hiking along the Kyle Creek Trail, and there are some tremendous whitewater spots on St. Joe River - Skookum Canyon. Lucky Friday Number Three Dam is not far at all from Lone Lake, and delightful skiing awaits you at Lookout Pass.
If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Bitterroot Range. The peak of Champion Point can be distinguished from Lone Lake, and if you need a site to stay Ryan Hotel is a magnificent choice. For the duration of the warm months here at Lone Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 30's while Lone Lake overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Bitterroot Range.
