    In Idaho there are many beautiful lakes, Lola Lakes is one of them. Lola Lakes is one of the lakes here in the Sawtooth Range. What a place this is for outdoors people. Lola Lakes is great enough to spend more than a day at, Fir Creek Campground is a great local campground; at Lola Lakes you can see Cape Horn Mountain. Have a great hiking adventure along the Blue Bunch Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Marsh Creek.

   ski! Brundage Mountain is a good spot to do that, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on Salmon River - Middle Fork. From a rainfall point of view Lola Lakes is a quite normal location; January is when you get the most snow here while July is mostly the driest month. While you're here at Lola Lakes you can take a hike along the Camptender Trail; if you came to camp Lola Creek Campground is a great site to do that.
High temperatures at Lola Lakes
 
               throughout the summer are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 40's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Lola Lakes. Just can't get enough of the Sawtooth Range. Lakes are such calm places, why not stop at Newman Lake close to Lola Lakes; do take a hike on the Bear Valley Creek Trail. And if that's not sufficient there's a load more fun stuff to do in the Sawtooth Range. There are other places here than Lola Lakes, for example Collie Lake.

Moderate uphill hike..couple of miles from road; classic rock wall mountain behind lake; nice place to backpack into..day trip or camp overnite; some wild life; hiked in here in summer and early spring when 1 - 2' of snow on ground (and melt was rushing down mountain side beneath snow...flowers growing in ground beneath crystal clear runoff (beneath snow...quite a site).Didn't catch any fish during August trips. Last time I was in there was the 1970's....
