So much amusing stuff in the Salmon River Mountains, just tremendous. Logan Mountain is trouble-free to spot from Logan Lake, and you can stay the night at Golden Gate Campground. Logan Lake is located in the Salmon River Mountains. The amount of precipitation that falls at Logan Lake is close to the national average; through January this area sees the most snow, and July is the month with the least       moisture. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff near Logan Lake. Not far from Logan Lake, you'll stumble on Crater Lake which is a picturesque lake, and Logan Lake is right by the Parks Peak Trail. For the period of the summertime months highs here at Logan Lake reach the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. Throughout the wintertime highs are generally in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime                  temperatures at Logan Lake dip into the 0's. A quick trip to Belvidere Creek close to Logan Lake is a nice idea, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Logan Lake; Center Mountain Trail is a delightful local trail. And that's not all you can do here in the Salmon River Mountains. Lakes are pleasant; Lick Lake is a lake that's in the vicinity of Logan Lake; why not take a refreshing hike along the Big Chief Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Brundage Mountain; whitewater paddling is perfect on Salmon River - East Fork of South Fork. Get covered with water paddling on Johnson Creek. There's so much to do here at Logan Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Yellow Pine Campground is a nice location for that.
