Go to Little Valley Reservoir if you want to go to a nice lake. Now, you may assume that's lots but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Little Valley Reservoir. Little Valley Reservoir is good enough to spend more than a day at, Cedars and Shade Campground is a good local campground, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Little Valley Reservoir; Bloomington Lake Trail is a brilliant local trail. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Little Valley Reservoir dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. June, and July is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is one of the great places here in the Wasatch Range. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the High Line Trail; there are other
places here than Little Valley Reservoir, for example Fife Reservoir. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Wasatch Range. First Hollow is next to Little Valley Reservoir and is positively a good site to stop by, and Pine
Flat is a pleasant location to check out. So much exciting stuff to do in the Wasatch Range, not enough time. A good site to camp here at Little Valley Reservoir is Saint Charles Campground, and not far from Little Valley Reservoir you'll hit upon Midnight Lake which is a pretty lake.

Bloomington Lake Trail
 | 11 miles away ...ton Lake Trail and Bloomington Lake is up Bloomington Canyon on the West Side of the Bear Lake Valley. The canyon road is accessed off of Highway 89 in the community of Bloomington. It is approximately 11 miles to the top of the canyon and parking area. The road is dirt and gravel and suitable for most passenger cars. It is a short trail to the lake where you will be rewarded with a beautiful high mountain lake with high surrounding cliffs. There are many trails the lead off from the canyon and connect to other surrounding canyons. One of the more notable trails is the Highline Trail. This is an approximate 60 mile trail that runs north and south along the ridge line of the mountains. The trail can be accessed at many point including the top of Bloomington Canyon. At the parking area the road continues a bit futher west and the road turns into a trail that leads up to the ridge. Your can travel north or south with the south direction being the most spectacular The Highline Trail is popular with hikers, horses, mountain bikers, ATV's and motorcycles. Limber Pine Trail
 | 17 miles away The Limber Pine trail is more of a nature walk than a hike. It's good for kids and those seeking an easy, short trail. Educational posting about flora, etc. are included around this loop trail. It's fun, too, even if you are a serious hiker. I think I could complete the loop in 15 minutes, but one posting I saw said 45 minutes. Walk it and find out. Easy access right off the road.... |
