Little Summit Lake is a location that is pretty dry ordinarily; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. a great local trail. Cloochman Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth checking out; you can stay the night at Upper Payette Lake Campground. So many amusing things in the Salmon River Mountains, just astonishing.
While you're here at Little Summit Lake, you could also visit scenic Frog Lake, and here at Little Summit Lake you can observe Squaw Point. Little Summit Lake is one of the lakes here in the Salmon River Mountains. And if that's not
enough, there's plenty more to do close to Little Summit Lake. You can run the rapids of Payette River - North Fork close to Little Summit Lake, and there's good hiking along the Box Lake Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the
enjoyable things in the Salmon River Mountains. Cloochman Saddle is in the vicinity of Little Summit Lake and is a nice site; don't leave Little Summit Lake without first going for a hike along the Crestline Trail.

Kennally Creek Trail
 | 19 miles away I love the Kennally Creek area and have camped at the Kennally Creek Campground for over thirty years. I have never done much hiking but have found I really enjoy it. I am having a family reunion next summer and some of the members are hikers, fisherman, horse back riders--just ourtdoors people in general. I saw on the map at the campground that there are several lakes up the trail and was wondering what lakes are accessible from trails--in particular, Nick Lake, as well as others.
