Summertime highs at Little Summit Lake regularly tend to be in the 90's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's, and night lows at Little Summit Lake during the wintertime commonly       plunge into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Cloochman Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth checking out; you can stay the night at Upper Payette Lake Campground. So many amusing things in the Salmon River Mountains, just astonishing. While you're here at Little Summit Lake, you could also visit scenic Frog Lake, and here at Little Summit Lake you can observe Squaw Point. Little Summit Lake is one of the lakes here in the Salmon River Mountains. And if that's not enough, there's plenty more to do close to Little Summit Lake. You can run the rapids of Payette River - North Fork close to Little Summit Lake, and there's good hiking along the Box Lake Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the Salmon River Mountains.
