This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Chipmunk Rapids National Recreation Trail. A common amount of rainfall falls here at Little Muskrat Lake; through December this area sees the most snow, and July is when it's the driest. Do schedule some time to pop by Mallard Bay close to Little Muskrat Lake if you have a chance, and probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure,       Little Lake is just a very short distance away. Carr Creek flows through this region; there are some good whitewater spots on Priest River. That right there is a heap already, but it carries on; Little Muskrat Lake has it all. There are splendid places to explore along the White Mountain Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Schweitzer Mountain Resort. Camping is available at Spring Point Campground, and going for a hike on the Leiberg-Athol Trail is always                  a pleasant adventure. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay La Quinta Inn Sandpoint is a glorious choice; the snow is perfect at Schweitzer. At Little Muskrat Lake through the warm months highs are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's; through the dark hours in the winter at Little Muskrat Lake temperatures drop to the 10's.
