A visit to Little Lost Lake is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. It's a great idea to stop by Twin Springs Creek, it's close to Little Lost Lake, and skiing at Lookout Pass is one of those things you just must do. High temperatures at Little Lost Lake all through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; overnight lows in the 20's for

Long Hike Rock is trouble-free to spot from Little Lost Lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Little Lost Lake; Freezeout Trail is a tremendous local trail. This lake is so wonderful. go for Little Lost Lake. You can run the rapids of Clearwater River - Little North Fork in close proximity to Little Lost Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Ally Point Trail. There's whitewater on St. Joe River
- Marble Creek for all you thrill seekers, and swamps don’t sound that glorious but Pinchot Marsh right next door to Little Lost Lake is relatively glorious. Little Lost Lake is located in the Clearwater Mountains. Stay the night
at Little North Fork Campground, and Little Lost Lake is right by the Slate-Dunn Peak Trail. But wait, there's more amusing stuff to do in the Clearwater Mountains. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Little Lost
Lake has to offer, you can camp at Marble Creek Campground, and don't leave Little Lost Lake without first checking out Orphan Point. The annual rain here at Little Lost Lake is about average; through January this area sees the most snow, and July meanwhile is the driest month.

Lookout Pass

1935. The local ski pioneers chose Lookout Pass because of the abundant snowfall and excellent snow quality which they could access by jumping on the Northern Pacific railcars as they proceeded east from the mining towns of Wallace and Mullan, Idaho.
