Not much rain falls here at Little Bayhorse Lake; the wettest month of the year is typically May, that's the one that rains the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Salmon River - Yankee Fork is a fine whitewater spot next to Little Bayhorse Lake, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Lodge Motel is a delightful location to spend a night or two. In case you don’t mind getting       wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Salmon River, and there is a fine hiking trail nearby called the Twin Buttes Trail. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Salmon River Mountains. So much enjoyable stuff near Little Bayhorse Lake, absolutely fantastic.
