This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful site to camp here at Lightning Lake is West Fork Campground, and you get a tremendous view of Mount Jordan from here. At Lightning Lake you don’t see much precipitation; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily December, that's the one that snows the most, and July meanwhile is the driest month. And if that's not enough there's heaps more amusing stuff to do in the Salmon       River Mountains. Camping is available at Tincup Campground, and a good nearby hotel is Clarion Inn Ketchum. This lake is one of the great places here in the Salmon River Mountains. Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Salmon River - Yankee Fork, and you'll find a charming lake called Mystery Lake. Throughout the warm months at Lightning Lake temperatures are typically in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 30's. The wintertime                  comes with highs in the 20's while Lightning Lake overnight low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the-10's.
