    The beauty of Leo Lake is reason enough to stop by. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Bitterroot Range. This is a delightful neighborhood for people who like lakes. Goat Lake is a lake close by, and Shale Mountain is a peak you can catch a sight of from Leo Lake. Leo Lake gets very little precipitation; through June this area sees the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This  
   lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Missoula-Days Inn; going for a hike on the Granite Ridge Trail is always a great adventure.
If you came to camp Wendover Campground is a magnificent place to do that, and there are some nice whitewater spots on Clark Fork. You truly have to adore Leo Lake. There's so much to do here at Leo Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Clearwater Crossing Campground is a great place for that, and if you come
 
               at the right time of year, Crooked Fork offers some tremendous whitewater. Go for a hike on the Colgate Licks Nature National Recreation Trail; Frog Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth going to.
If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Bitterroot Range. Near Leo Lake you find the State Line Trail which is a perfect hiking trail. Leo Lake is a beautiful lake in the Bitterroot Range. Summer at Leo Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Leo Lake.
