    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Leo Lake. Leo Lake is one of the lakes here in the Bitterroot Range. Why not camp at Wendover Campground if you're here at Leo Lake, and the Granite Ridge Trail is a brilliant hiking trail close by. Be careful coming to Leo Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again. If you need a place to stay Lolo Hot Springs Mountain is a great choice, and there are other locations here than Leo Lake, for example Smokey  
   Lake.
Leo Lake is pretty arid frequently; during the month of June you get the most rain around here; July is when it's the driest. Getting to Frog Creek from Leo Lake is painless; there is a pleasant hiking trail close by called the Colgate Licks Nature National Recreation Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
For the duration of the long summer days at Leo Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's, and the nighttime is quite colder of course, frequently
 
               in the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Leo Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the Bitterroot Range. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Clark Fork; River Edge Resort Motel is a great spot to get some rest. All year is a pleasant time in the Bitterroot Range if you have a thing about the outdoors. If the weather is delightful, you acquire a great view of Shale Mountain from Leo Lake; if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the State Line Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous place to camp here at Leo Lake is Clearwater Crossing Campground; if you come at the right time of year, Crooked Fork offers some great whitewater.
