From a precipitation point of view Lemhi Lake is a relatively normal place; January is when you get the most snow here, and the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful. Lemhi Lake is one of the lakes here in the Salmon River Mountains. Now, you may believe that's a heap but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Lemhi Lake. Hiking along the Chamberlain Trail is magnificent fun; get yourself into a kayak and hit Salmon River. So much enjoyable

If you came to camp Rhett Creek Campground is a nice spot to do that, and if you come at the right time of year, Salmon River - South Fork offers some fine whitewater. Summertime at Lemhi Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 30's. temperatures at Lemhi Lake plunge into the 0's. This site, the Salmon River Mountains, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Little Sheepeater Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and Sheepeater Mountain is a peak you can
catch a glimpse of from Lemhi Lake. Going for a hike along the Center Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area; camping at Mackay Bar Campground is always a perfect experience. If you get bored of Lemhi Lake,
you could also stop at nearby Sheepeater Lake, and do take a hike on the Three Blaze Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here, you might as well go to Sleepy Hollow, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Brundage Mountain while you're here.
