     Lemhi Lake is a nice lake to visit. At Lemhi Lake during the summer highs are in the 70's, and the night is slightly cooler of course, mostly in the 30's. For the period of the winter highs are regularly in the 20's; overnight lows during the winter for Lemhi Lake tend to be in the 0's. Paddling on Salmon River - South Fork is so much fun; going for a hike along the Chamberlain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Hiking along the Three  
   Blaze Trail is wonderful fun, and if you came for an overnight stay Mackay Bar Campground is a great spot to camp.
So much amusing stuff in the vicinity of Lemhi Lake, simply tremendous. The slopes of Brundage Mountain are so inviting noone can resist; Salmon River has a delightful whitewater paddling spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Sheepeater Mountain is clearly visible from Lemhi Lake, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along
 
               the Center Mountain Trail. Lemhi Lake is one of the lakes here in the Salmon River Mountains.
Be careful coming to the Salmon River Mountains, you might not ever want to return back home again. A fine place to explore near Lemhi Lake is Sleepy Hollow; why not camp at Rhett Creek Campground while you're here at Lemhi Lake. The annual rainfall here at Lemhi Lake is about average; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow while July is usually the driest month. That right there is a load of exciting things already but it goes on, the Salmon River Mountains has it all.
