Legend Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Clearwater Mountains. Legend Lake gets a normal amount of precipitation; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. While you're here at Legend Lake it's a magnificent idea to pop by Canteen Meadows, and if you're here, you could also

| | stop at scenic Big Fog Lake.
Yep, outdoors entertaining stuff truly is plentiful here in the Clearwater Mountains. There's so much to do here at Legend Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Race Track Campground is a perfect location for that, and there is a delightful hiking trail nearby called the Meadow Creek National Recreation Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Legend Lake has to offer, you can camp at Race Creek Campground; | |

nearby you locate the East Boyd Glover Roundtop National Recreation Trail which is a good hiking trail. So many exciting things to do here at Legend Lake, too great to be true. Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Lochsa
River, and the vista of Big Fog Mountain is striking.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Clearwater Mountains. Summertime at Legend Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges
down to the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 30's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Legend Lake plunge into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Lochsa River in close proximity
to Legend Lake, and going for a hike on the Anderson Butte National Recreation Trail is always a good adventure.
