Legend Lake gets a common amount of annual rain; January is the wettest month with most snow, and July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Race Creek Campground is always a perfect experience, and float down the rapids of Lochsa River in a kayak. All through the summertime at Legend Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks       down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Legend Lake temperatures sink to the 20's. You'll locate a charming lake called Big Fog Lake near Legend Lake; a perfect place to camp here at Legend Lake is Race Track Campground. While you're here at Legend Lake, you could also stop by scenic South Three Links Lakes; you can have a glorious hiking adventure along the Meadow Creek National Recreation                  Trail. So much exciting stuff to do at Legend Lake, so little time. You can catch a glimpse of Big Fog Mountain from Legend Lake, and if you're here you can take a hike along the East Boyd Glover Roundtop National Recreation Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Clearwater Mountains. And if that's not enough there's a load more cool stuff to do in the Clearwater Mountains. If the weather is tremendous here at Legend Lake, you can go for a hike along the Anderson Butte National Recreation Trail. Just can't get enough of the Clearwater Mountains.
