    If you are in Idaho county it's always a good idea to stop by Legend Lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the Clearwater Mountains. Good hiking is available along the East Boyd Glover Roundtop National Recreation Trail, and a wonderful location for whitewater paddling is Lochsa River. Throughout the warmest time of the year highs here at Legend Lake get into the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures  
   at Legend Lake dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights.
This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Legend Lake without first going for a hike along the Meadow Creek National Recreation Trail. There's so much to do here at Legend Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Race Creek Campground is a pleasant site for that. Here at Legend Lake you can spot Big Fog Mountain, and in the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always
 
               go whitewater paddling on Lochsa River. All the outdoors amusing stuff in the Clearwater Mountains will keep you coming back persistently. There's brilliant hiking along the Anderson Butte National Recreation Trail, and Legend Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Race Track Campground is a delightful local campground.
The amount of rain that falls at Legend Lake is close to the national average; January is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest of the months is July. All the outdoors exciting stuff in close proximity to Legend Lake will keep you coming back many times. You must undeniably dedicate some time to Canteen Meadows while you're here at Legend Lake.
