Idaho has many beautiful lakes and Larkins Lake is one of them. Larkins Lake is a good place of common rainfall; the month with most of the snow is January; July meanwhile is the driest month. Larkins Lake is a beautiful lake in the Bitterroot Range. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Larkins Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Mammouth Springs Campground is a great location for that; Crag Peak is gorgeous and can be seen from

| | here. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Bitterroot Range. Skiing at Lookout Pass is one of those things you just must do. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Larkins Lake has to offer, you can camp at Aquarius Campground; there are some fine whitewater spots on Clearwater River - North Fork. the Shin Point Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend St. Joe River - Skookum Canyon. This is a great vicinity for people who like lakes. Mud Lake is a lake in the neighborhood,
and going for a hike along the Dead Mule Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. All year is a wonderful time in the Bitterroot Range if you go for the outdoors. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can
always check out nearby Blue Lake, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Old Montana Trail. Summertime at Larkins Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 40's. For the duration
of the winter the highs are regularly in the 30's with temperatures at Larkins Lake dipping down into the 20's through winter nights.

The local ski pioneers chose Lookout Pass because of the abundant snowfall and excellent snow quality which they could access by jumping on the Northern Pacific railcars as they proceeded east from the mining towns of Wallace and Mullan, Idaho.
