Stay the night at Talmaks Campground; if you're popping by from Lewiston, you won't be the only one. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Lapwai Lake. During the moonlight hours it's generally in the 40's. Throughout the winter the highs       are usually in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Lapwai Lake. Winchester Lake State Park is a tremendous campground nearby; a perfect location for whitewater paddling is Potlatch River. Lapwai Lake is a good place of typical rain; November is when you get the most rain here, and July on the other hand is the driest.
