A glorious place to camp here at Lapwai Lake is Winchester Lake State Park; you can run the rapids of Potlatch River. Camping is available at Talmaks Campground. For the period of the summer at Lapwai Lake highs are regularly in the 80's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 40's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and overnight lows at Lapwai Lake through the winter commonly dip into the 20's.       Winchester Dam is not far at all from Lapwai Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Lewiston Super 8 Motel. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Lapwai Lake there are plenty of people from Lewiston; there's whitewater on Clearwater River for all you adrenaline rush seekers.
